Natural heritage, the meeting with the 'Green helmets for UNESCO' at the Ministry of the Environment
Environment Minister Sergio Costa met yesterday at the Ministry's headquarters with the 'Green Helmets for UNESCO', an environmental task force resulting from a collaboration protocol signed with ISPRA. It is a group of 22 experts composed by geologists, biologists, architects, physicists, who will provide support in Italian protected areas, ensuring the protection and enhancement of Unesco sites. "The high number of voluntary adhesions to green helmets within ISPRA - declared the General Director of Ispra Alessandro Bratti - testifies to a will that goes beyond simple office work. What awaits us is a delicate and full task of responsibility, which takes place on Italian territory but goes beyond national borders. We are, in fact, firmly convinced that all Unesco sites must be not only supported but preserved and valued”.
