The Institute for the Protection and Environmental Research, ISPRA, within the context of a research contract with the IRSA-CNR, has organized three training courses for the classification of water bodies on the basis of benthic macro invertebrates (the first course was held in Milan in July 2012).

The benthic macroinvertebrates are one of the biological quality required for classification of the water surface currents, as required by Ministerial Decree 260/2010.

These courses are part of a training course for operators of regional agencies to ensure a whole application of the methodology  in the country.

The courses are free for operators of the system ISPRA / ARPA / APPA.

Mission expenses (travel, transport, accommodation and meals) are under responsibility of the participants.
