Coastal areas of the North Adriatic and management of floods

The Italian  Idrotecnic Association , Veneto Section , under the patronage of the Province of Venice, ISPRA, Department ICEA of Padova University , IUAV of Venezia, organizes in Venice, October 5 pv, a conference entitled "Coastal areas of the North Adriatic and management of floods." The aim of the conference is to focus on the issues and deadlines relating to the implementation of the European Directive 2007/60/EC on the management of flood risk in a coastal area that covers three districts hydrographics (Eastern Alps, Po, and Northern Apennines), including in the regions of Friuli Venezia Giulia, Veneto and Emilia Romagna.

The session "Marine Geology, physical environment and natural habitats: new perspectives emerged from the CARG project", held in Turin in September 2011 during the VIII Forum of Earth Sciences, has provided the opportunity to discuss the achievements of the year past studies in the marine environment . The marine meeting, promoted by the group of Marine Geology of Soil Department / Italian Geological Service of ISPRA, aims to debate the issue with working groups of scholars with different skills and experiences related to the study of the marine environment, with an approach that integrates the knowledge developed in the various fields of marine sciences.
