Geological and Historical Collection at the International Museum Day
Ispra will participate in the #Museum Day , organized by Council of Museums, with the aim to present its own web site "The Virtual Museum of the Geological and Historical Collections of ISPRA". The Institute confirms the positive role of the museum in the contemporary society, to promote dialogue between cultures and communities, despite the impossibility of exhibiting its collections.
The theme chosen for 2017 is Museums and controversial stories: telling the unspeakable in museums. In Italy, the theme of this day will be at the center of the Museum Festival, promoted by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Tourism, scheduled for May 20 and 21.
