LIFE SERESTO project : guided visit

In the whole of the Life Seresto project, last 30 May it was organized a guided visit in the site opened to students and technicians. At the event participated 3 classes of high school of Venezia, functionaries of ARPA Veneto, Puglia,  Sardegna and technicians of the Authority ‘Alpi Orientali’ District. The project LIFE SERESTO  aimed at to trigger a process of aquatic angiosperm recolonization in “Northern Lagoon of Venice”, mainly through the transplantation of Zostera marina and Zostera noltei to small sites distributed throughout the area.

The project is coordinated by the professor Adriano Sfriso of the Cà Foscari Venice University and is supported by a partnership composed with ISPRA, ‘Provveditorato Interregionale per le Opere Pubbliche’ and the association Laguna Venexiana ONLUS. The guided tour, included in the 25th anniversary celebrations of the EU LIFE program, was an opportunity to show live the way of action and the results obtained after 3 years from the first transplants.
