The conference : " Marine litter : from environmental emergency to a potential resource" will be held next 1st december in Roma, Lincei Accademy. The aims of the event is to have an overview at national level, about scientific activities applied to specific aspects such as characterization and reuse of plastics, local initiatives, adaptation of normative and sustainable management programs.
Ispra will join the event with different scientific works on various topics such as marine litter on a meditteranean scale monitoring, waste monitoring in the Sicily channel, microplastics in the stomach and organs of the predators, ingestion of plastic by the sea turtles.
It will be also presented the following ISPRA projects : MEDSEALITTER and INDICIT.
