ISPRA General Director met the Executive Secretary of the Convention for Biological Diversity

Last 16 April the ISPRA DG Alessandro Bratti and the expert Piero Genovesi, head of the ISPRA technical advice area, met the Executive Secretary of the Convention for Biological Diversity, Cristiana Pasca Palmer, former Minister of Environment of the Romania. The meeting was held at the FAO headquarters in Rome, on the occasion of the 13th session of the Commission on Phytosanitary Measures of the International Plant Protection Convention. The Executive Secretary thanked ISPRA for the constant support provided above all and on the issue of invasive species, such as the availability  to maintain the databases of the Global Invasive Species Database and the Global Register of Introduced and Invasive Species. During the Plant Protection Convention event,  Ispra expert mr. Genovesi gave a talk on the theme "Reflections on invasive alien species towards the conclusion of the UN Decade of Biodiversity".
