ISPRA President and DG visiting the Environmental Laboratory of the Coast Guard

The President of ISPRA, Stefano Laporta, together with the General Director, Alessandro Bratti, and some experts in the various fields of expertise, have visited the Laboratory for Environmental Analysis " C.F. Natale De Grazia" Coast Guard, set up at the Port Authority of Rome. The delegation of the Institute was welcomed by Admiral Giovanni Pettorino, Commander General of the Corps of Port Authorities - Coast Guard. The General Commander and the Ispra President have immediately expressed a strong understanding on the common purpose of safeguarding and protecting the marine and coastal environment and a communion of intentions on the opportunity to share the respective competences at the central and regional level.

President Laporta has also underlined, the consolidated relationship over time between Coast Guard and ISPRA and the importance of the presence of an environmental protection system developed  on the national territory. In this context, the developing of a laboratories national system can increase the efficiency of the public administrations, determining a saving of energy and the development of the professional skills. The General Director Bratti also wanted to underline the professionalism of the Corps and the important work that the Coast Guard has always played in favor of the marine and coastal environment protection.Finally, the Director of the Laboratory Maura Pisconti illustrated the realization and evolution of the LAM (Environmental Mobile Workshops) project, the potential of the new Environmental Analysis Laboratory and the instrumental equipment with which it was set up.
