Next 30 October at the Palazzo Ducale in Genova, the activity that the European Commission's Joint Research Center (JRC) will carry out together with ISPRA to prevent tsumanis will be presented during the Science Festival.

It will be illustrated to young people the theme related to the GPS-001 buoy which was positioned last July in the Ligurian Sea, off the island of Tino in front of La Spezia, for monitoring the sea level and detecting possible tsunami events. This is a research and innovation activity, the subject of a multi-year agreement between ISPRA and JRC, which aims to test this buoy for a few months, technologically more advanced,in order to collect useful data on its functioning.
