The conference, organized by the Accademia dei Lincei, will cover the following topics: Coastal evolution, erosion, sediment transport, effects on settlements and coastal works; Lagune and delta at risk: subsidence, eustatism, ground salinization, loss of biodiversity; Coastal defense interventions: beach nourishment, defense works, dredging, naturalistic engineering, effects on benthic communities; Tsunamis, coastal landslides, exceptional meteorological and meteorological events; Coastal evolution: impact on economic resources (seaside tourism, aquaculture, communication routes).
At the meeting will partecipate an Ispra expert.
