Ispra meeting with some representatives of the European Commission

ISPRA, represented by President Stefano Laporta and DG Alessandro Bratti has met some representatives of the European Commission in Brussels and Federica Mogherini, Vice President of the European Commission and High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, in order to discuss the potential offered by ISPRA and the National System for the Protection of the Environment in support of the European Union's in environmental foreign policies, especially the framework for development cooperation.

The meetings continued  with Giulia Del Brenna, Deputy Chief of Staff of the European Commissioner for Research, and Carlos Moedas, who illustrated the strategic orientations of European research and mentioned the constant growth of environmental components, underlining the need for a more marked presence of ISPRA as an institutional subject in the review processes of research strategies.

Then another meeting with Dimitris Dermatas, Special Secretary of Inspectorate of Hellenic Ministry of Environment and Energy, and IMPEL president, with which Ispra President and the DG have agreed on the need to collaborate at European level in the field of environmental controls and inspections, especially in coordinated action in the various circles such as the EPA Network, IMPEL and EEA.

Finally, ISPRA representatives had an exchange of ideas with Karmen Vella, European Commissioner for Environment, Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, during the Green Week inauguration ceremony, reiterating ISPRA's commitment to supporting European policies in the sector .
