Scientific research and industrial development are increasingly based on the use of reference materials, because they guarantee metrological traceability, method validation and quality control. In a lot of number of strategic sectors, from manufacturing to food safety, from health protection to environmental protection. Research projects and case studies in the field of reference materials will be presented at the meeting. The conference will also be an opportunity to debate the evolution of accreditation of reference materials producers at international level and to illustrate the technical-regulatory work, in particular following the implementation of the historic Guide 34: 2009 in the UNI CEI EN standard ISO 17034: 2017, result of the collaboration between ISO / REMCO and ISO / CASCO.
At the meeting an Ispra expert will partecipate.
