The objective of LIFE ASAP project is to reduce the rate of introduction of invasive alien species and their impacts by increasing awareness of Italian citizenship and promoting their active participation

    Ecological Network and Terrritorial planning

In the scientific literature, the ecological network (EN) has different meanings depending on the aspects  to prioritize. Therefore the EN can be put into practice with different methods of implementation.

Il progetto Eco-AlpsWater si propone di analizzare il DNA ambientale (Environmental DNA - eDNA) nei corpi idrici, avvalendosi della tecnica della Next Generation Sequencing (NGS)

Implementation Of The Indicator Of Marine Litter On Sea Turtles And Biota In Regional Sea Conventions And Marine Strategy Framework Directive Areas

The overarching aim is to develop a set of standardized tools for monitoring the impacts of litter on marine fauna as bio-indicators

Italian-Maltese harmonization for a good state of the environment: sea floor integrity and interaction with invasive species to preserve marine ecosystems functioning

      Inventory of wetlands

ISPRA participates in the project promoted by MedWet, aimed at creating an inventory of wetlands and the definition of a strategy for their protection in the Mediterranean level

The LIFE LAGOON REFRESH project foresees the diversion of a freshwater flow from the Sile river into the lagoon, necessary for recreation of the typical salt gradient of buffer areas between lagoon and mainland, for restoration of the reedbed habitat, and for improvement of the Lagoon environment and its biodiversity.

The project aims at networking representative MPAs, scientific organizations and environmental NGOs for developing, testing and applying efficient, easy to apply and cost-effective protocols to monitor and manage litter impact on biodiversity.

MPA-ADAPT’s goals are to develop collaborative and site-specific adaptation plans for MPAs that enhance their resilience to climate change impacts.

The project Plastic Busters, to clean the Mediterranean from plastic, supported by numerous partners including Ispra, aims to make a "snapshot" of the macro and microplastics that pollute the Mediterranean, illustrate the consequences on the marine environment and the health of its fauna and implement the actions necessary to plan, at international level, mitigation and reduction interventions.

The Project  started the first February 2018, has a duration of 48 months and is coordinated by ISPRA. The PlasticBusters MPAs is an Interreg Med funded project with the aim to contribute to maintaining biodiversity and preserving natural ecosystems in pelagic and coastal protected areas by consolidating Mediterranean efforts against marine litter.

Life Ponderat is a project co-financed by the European Union whose objective is the improvement of the state of conservation of species and habitats of the Ponziane Islands.

Regional Observatory of the environmental biodiversity

ISPRA's projects within the Observatory will be developed through 4 Work Package (WP) or Response Plans. The proposed WP are connected one to the other and in close connection with the activities carried out by other partners (CNR, ARTA, ARPA), in particular the creation and functioning of the Data Center

The Project RESTO CON LIFE “Island conservation in Tuscany, restoring habitats not only for birds” is a Life Natura project co-funded by the European Commission

The LIFE project entitled SEAFOREST LIFE "Posidonia meadows as carbon sinks of the Mediterranean" has been approved and funded under the LIFE Program, sub-program 'Actions for the 2017 Climate', a priority area with issues in the mitigation of climate change.

        Special Project Mushroom

The project aims to provide unconventional operational tools for environmental quality assessment using mushrooms as biological indicators.

The LIFE + U-SAVEREDS Project, "Management of grey squirrel in Umbria: conservation of red squirrel and Preventing loss of biodiversity in the Apennines"  aims to the conservation of the Eurasian red squirrel (or, simply, red squirrel) in Umbria and to the protection of biodiversity in Apennines
