Many public institutions are involved in the Joint Programming Initiative “ Water Challenges for a changing world” representing 20 countries participating in the EU research initiative: Austria, Cyprus, Germany, Estonia, Denmark, Finland, France, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, United Kingdom, Sweden and Spain among the European Union countries as well as the associated countries Israel, Moldova and Turkey . 4 countries with observer status: Belgium, Greece, Hungary, Latvia.
France has the role of coordinator with the support of Spain, Ireland and Italy.
