Guidelines for ungulates management. Deer and bovid.

The presence and abundance of ungulates in Italy have made with no doubt one of the most remarkable change among wildlife in recent decades and the conservation of large herbivores, which includes the active management of populations, is now one of the most relevant challenge for the public agencies and managers. These guidelines have been prepared to support management decisions that institutions and stakeholders are called upon to perform, taking into account the regulatory, planning and cultural issues behind ungulate management.
