Restoration of the marine-coastal ecosystems and sandy coast defense in the Protected Areas

The volume illustrates the most meaningful aspects of the ecosystems dunali, the most delicate in nature and the least protected ones in absolute. Examples of interventions of restoration of the sandy coasts are documented besides in over 30 Italian zones, all in Protected Areas, performed almost exclusively using systems of naturalistic engineering. Such interventions show the possibility of a rational and environmentally friendly management of the dunale patrimony, without preventing the access the features of sea, but conjugating the use of the beach with the protection of the sandy shores against the erosion.
