Ispra in the National Commission major risks

By Decree of the President of the Council of Ministers nr. 6696 / 28 December 2011 have been appointed members of the National Commission for the prediction and prevention of major risks.

The Commission, commissioned by the Head of Civil Protection Department (DPC), mr. Franco Gabrielli, represents the link between the Department and the scientific community and is composed by 5 sectors that will provide technical and scientific contributions to the DPC about the 5 categories most dangerous in Italy : seismic volcanic, meteorological and hydrological, hydraulic and landslide, chemical, nuclear, industrial and transportation; environmental and forest fires.

Components of the Bureau are : the Hon. Zamberletti  Giuspee (President Emeritus), professor. Luciano Maiani (President) and professor. Mauro Rosi (Vice President).
As a representative of the sector "environmental risk and forest fires" was appointed mr. Roberto Caracciolo, Head of the State Department of Environment and Environmental Metrology ISPRA; Eng. Luciano Bologna, Head of the Sector “Radiation Safety Regulation Development” ISPRA
