Alberto Malatesta (1915-2007) Geologist and Paleontologist

The Department of Geological Sciences of the University "Roma Tre", the Department of Earth Science of the University "La Sapienza" and the Environment Department of ENEA, under the sponsorship of AIQUA, SPI, SGI, CNR.DTA-IGAG and National Geological Service (Ispra), organized a two-day scientific memory of Alberto Malatesta, who died two years ago. Beginning from the multidisciplinary scientific research on the Quaternary, in which A. Malatesta was engaged for over fifty years, the conference aims to take stock of the current knowledge and of the future of the geo-paleontological research on the Pliocene-Quaternary.
