ERA-ENVHEALTH project - “Coordination of national environment and health research programmes – Environment and Health ERA-NET” started on the1st of September, 2008 . This is a “Coordination Action” project co-funded by the European Commissions under the 7th Framework Programme (FP7) to support the development of the European Research Area (ERA). This project brings together 19 partners from 10 countries for a 4-year period focusing on Environment and Health (E&H) research.
The general objectives of this project are to:
• respond to the recognized need for enhancing
coordination through cooperation in E&H research,
• create a network to help integrate the E&H
communities and provide a platform where existing E&H
communities may be potential users and/or contributors, and
• create a practical tool for the implementation of the
European action plan 2004-2010 and to contribute to the
“putting into practice” of the WHO E&H research
commitments.
Between the Partners of the Project there are leaders of specific activities, ISPRA holds the leadership of two strategic tasks:
• Task 3.2 - Coordination and
implementation of coordinated activities
• Task 5.2 - Extending the network of
partners of the Consortium
