Committee on Equal Opportunities

ISPRA's Committee on Equal Opportunities for Women and Men was established by Commissioner's Provision No 420/09 of May 25, 2009. It promotes discussion and activities of equal opportunities issues, as provided by the existing legislation.
 

The Committee, as required by the EU and national legislation, promotes the culture and the effective enforcement of the equal opportunity principle in the Institute, promoting the substantial equality in employment through measures aimed at removing implicit and explicit forms of discrimination and exploitation of the capacity of all staff.
 

The Committee is composed of one member nominated by each of the most representative trade unions and of an equal number of officials appointed by the Institute, and is chaired by a representative. The President and the members are in charge for three years and, however, until the establishment of the new Committee. The mandate can be renewed for one term.
