DESCRIPTION:Rome\, 19-20 October   The commitments arising from EU directi
 ves impose on our country the implementation of specific actions to protec
 t the natural environment. In particular the Habitats Directive requires t
 he preparation of periodic reports based on data from the monitoring of sp
 ecies and habitats listed in the annexes of this Community law. This task
  requires a significant commitment from the Ministry of Environment\, Regi
 ons and Autonomous Provinces\, national Protected Areas. In this regard\, 
 ISPRA has been providing for years technical and scientific support to the
  national and local authorities.
