 alian Cartography Association will be held in Rome\, at the headquarters o
 f the Italian Geographical Society\, which brings together the state carto
 graphic bodies on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the foundation. 
 The conference intends to place cartography at the basis of environmental 
 information as an indispensable tool in the analysis of processes\, with a
  view to integrated territorial protection. Cartography and environmental 
 management represent the underlying theme of this sixtieth conference.
