Much more than a coloured imagine : the Italian geological map
On the occasion of the International Year Map the Italian Geological Society has promoted an exhibition on the geological cartography as a tool of the impacts on daily life. The event describes the production of a geological map and illustrates examples of practical use in five areas in National territory. For each area is retraced the history of geological cartography from the first map to the modern acquisition tools. The exhibition is aimed at schools, universities, cultural associations.
