  of the D.M. 184/2007 which established the 'Natura 2000 Network'. The dec
 ree has strengthened in Italy the protection of the biodiversity of flora 
 and fauna in the Special Conservation Areas (ZPC) and in the Special Prote
 ction Areas (SPA) and today it is fundamental for the protection of the va
 luable areas of the Mare Nostrum\, aslo with the recognition of the most i
 mportant Important Marine Areas.
