FOIA Openpolis Observatory: ISPRA is the research body that has received the most requests

The Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), present in over 100 countries around the world, is the legislation that guarantees every person the right to access information from public administrations, subject to the limits to protect public and private interests established by law.

Anyone can request existing data, documents and information from the public administration, without having to demonstrate the existence of a current interest or justify the request.

According to an analysis made by Openpolis, ISPRA is the research body that has received the most requests (over 240) in the three-year period 2017-2019
