On December 3, the conference "The contribution of research on the environment and health in contaminated sites" is held in Rome, organized by the Ministry of University and Research, CISAS - International Center for Advanced Studies on Environment, Ecosystem and Human Health and by the Department Earth System Sciences and Technologies of the CNR. The general director of ISPRA, Alessandro Bratti, is participating in the conference with a speech on "The activities and proposals of ISPRA / SNPA on the subject of the environment and health".

World Soil Day

World Soil Day is celebrated on 5 December, an anniversary established since 2014 by the UN food agency, the FAO. The theme of this edition is "Stops soil salinization, increases soil productivity". The 2021 campaign aims to focus on the importance of maintaining healthy ecosystems and human well-being by addressing growing challenges in soil management, fighting soil salinization, increasing soil awareness and encouraging societies to improve soil health.
