Green Med Symposium

From 8 to 10 June, at the Naples maritime station there will be a three-day marathon during which it will be analyze the European and Southern funds, ecological transition and digital transition. The Green Symposium 2022 will be the starting point together. An event dedicated to the strategic issues of the environment, the virtuous cycle of waste and the opportunities provided by European funds, will see 100 speakers, six symposia, ten informative events, 4 training courses divided into several days of work by of ISPRA, as well as orientation moments managed by the main universities of Campania and beyond. Among the great news scheduled for this year is the invaluable involvement of the Mediterranean countries, with a closing meeting attended by representatives of the institutions, experts and technicians of the sector. Tales of Biodiversity - Bees

In the fourth episode of this journey into biodiversity, Jacopo went to the headquarters of the Social Farm Association of Social Integration Assistance where he met two ISPRA experts: Valter Bellucci and Francesco Campanelli, who accompanied him in his knowledge of the fantastic world of bees and pollinators. On this occasion, dressed in a beekeeper's suit, they explored the inside of the hives. They observed bees under a microscope and saw the functioning of a technological beehive.

Green Book 2022 presentation

The Green Book is the complete monograph of the municipal waste sector in Italy. The volume is structured in 3 sections, in each of which specific aspects of the environment sector are addressed. ISPRA also contributes to the 2022 edition of the Green Book, with an analysis of exports and imports of urban and special waste, and a focus on the role of technological innovation in the sector, with particular reference to the plastics supply chain.

Participate and promote the City Nature Challenge, the citizen science initiative that allows to assess the biodiversity status of cities

The citizen science project " Biodiversity in pose " of the National Biodiversity Network (ISPRA / MiTE) is among the partners of the Italian Biodiversity Cluster for the 2022 edition of the City Nature Challenge (CNC), the international competition scheduled from April 29 to May 2, which competes with citizens interested in the environment in the survey and recording of naturalistic observations of wild flora and fauna, in the urban and extra-urban context.

One hundred years of nature conservation

The national parks turn one hundred years old, in 1922 the Gran Paradiso and Abruzzo National Parks were born, today Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise.
