DESCRIPTION:The EGU General Assembly 2023 will bring together geoscientist
 s from around the world for a meeting on topics from the disciplines of th
 e Earth\, planetary and space sciences. The EGU aims to create a forum whe
 re scientists can present their work and discuss their ideas with experts 
 in all fields of geoscience.   In this international context\, ISPRA will 
 present some statistics on the use of naturalistic engineering in projects
  aimed at mitigating hydro-geological risk in Italy. In particular\, the f
 ollowing will be analysed: the types of works most used\, the proportion b
 etween naturalistic and "traditional" engineering and the geographical loc
 ation of the interventions with respect to the protected areas of the Natu
 ra 2000 network. The aforementioned study was carried out through the anal
 ysis and processing of the data available in the ReNDiS database\, the ISP
 RA tool for monitoring interventions for  hydro- geological instability.
