Common agricultural policy

Reached the agreement on the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP).

On November 19 the Agriculture ministers of the EU, after eighteen hours of negotiations, have reached agreement on "health check" of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP).
The agreement will have the effect of modernize, further simplify and streamline the CAP, so farmers can respond more effectively to the market and will be able to better face new challenges in agriculture.
Main points of the agreement are the abolition of arable set-aside and the gradual increase in milk quotas until their expiration in 2015.
