Deep drillings

Database of deep boreholes as resulting from hydrocarbons exploration and production activity in Italy since 1957. These data are stored at UNMIG (National Office for Mines, Hydrocarbons and Georesources) which is part of the Ministry of Economic Development. The material collected and processed by ISPRA, Geological Survey of Italy, concerns composite logs of the surveys that are fully accessible. The material is available in raster format (JPG, TIF, BMP, PDF, etc.).

National Archive of substratum investigations (L.464/84)

Law n. 464 (4 August 1984) sets the obligation to notify the Geological Survey of Italy (ISPRA) about any information and data concerning the subsoil resulting from hydrological research studies, surveys or civil engineering works. Such information covers in particular the investigations by means of excavation, drilling and geophysical surveys driven to depths greater than 30 meters below ground level and, in the case of tunnels, more than 200 meters in length. Data is relayed as received, without any addition nor correction applied to the digitalization phase.

Gravimetric map at 1:1.000.000

The gravimetric map of Italy at 1:1,000,000 scale was realized by the Geological Survey of Italy and by AGIP using 234,100 ground stations (provided by AGIP, by the Geological Survey of Italy, by several universities and institutions and by private companies) and 6,200 seabed stations provided by AGIP and OGS. Data is accessible with the Geomapviewer and available as OGC service.

Gravimetric map at 1:1.250.000

Gravimetric map of Italy and surrounding seas at 1:1,250,000 scale. Data is accessible with the Geomapviewer and available as OGC service.

Aeromagnetic Map at 1:1.000.000 scale

Aeromagnetic map at 1:1,000,000 scale. Data is accessible with the Geomapviewer and available as OGC service.

Geophysical data

The database is constituted of geophysical and geodetic data collected by ISPRA, Geological Survey of Italy, and other institutions. Data is accessible with the Geomapviewer and available as OGC service.
