 he 1st Congress of the Italian Society of Ecotoxicology (SIEtos)\, which h
 as now officially become a reality.   These days provide an important oppo
 rtunity for members of the Italian scientific community\, regulatory autho
 rities\, private stakeholders\, and all those interested in ecotoxicologic
 al issues and their applications to come together and exchange knowledge\,
  particularly in light of ongoing developments in environmental legislatio
 n.
