Environmental challenges and competitiveness: ISPRA tools for businesses, finance, and the insurance sector
ISPRA presents to the Chamber of Deputies the “Platform for the Sustainability of Finance and Businesses”
The new operational tool will be available after summer 2026 and will enable the scientifically rigorous calculation of pollutants, impacts, and physical risks.
ISPRA is transforming sustainable finance from a regulatory obligation into a competitive opportunity with the new “Platform for the Sustainability of Finance and Businesses.” Based on the 2024 technical document “The Environmental Challenge for Sustainable Finance,” the new tool introduces scientifically validated key environmental indicators that allow companies, financial operators, and SMEs to calculate, with scientific rigor, direct and indirect emissions (greenhouse gases and pollutants), various types of impacts, and physical risks.
The digital platform, which will become operational and available to users after summer 2026, was presented at the Chamber of Deputies during the conference “Environmental Challenges and Competitiveness: ISPRA Tools for Businesses, Finance, and the Insurance Sector.” The event is part of the communication campaign “Facciamo Circolare,” organized by ISPRA in collaboration with and funded by the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy.
