ISPRA Awarded at the PA OK! Contest for Management Innovation

The ISPRA project “Innovating Public Administration Through Knowledge – The Sustainability Report as a Platform to Educate, Measure, and Generate Public Value” was awarded within the national PA OK! Contest – Together to Create Public Value, promoted by the Department of Public Administration and implemented by Formez PA as part of the NRRP (Mission 1).

During the award ceremony, held on 29 January 2026 in Rome, ISPRA received the special mention “Excellence for Citizens” in the Management Innovation category, as the project most voted for by citizens in this area. It also received the “PA OK! Award Finalist” mention, following its selection among 275 submitted projects, ranking among the top 10 projects in the Management Innovation area (modernization, human resources management, organizational improvement).

The recognition highlights a path of innovation that interprets ISPRA’s Sustainability Report not as a formal compliance exercise, but as a knowledge infrastructure supporting public decision-making—capable of integrating data, organizational processes, and impact measurement, while strengthening governance and a focus on public value. This approach confirms the role of knowledge as a strategic lever for improving public-sector performance and creating value for both citizens and institutions.

The PA OK! Contest – Together to Create Public Value aims to identify and promote innovative experiences within public administrations that enhance performance, foster a results-oriented culture, and encourage citizen participation. In this context, ISPRA’s participation and the recognition it received reaffirm the Institute’s role as an active player in Public Administration innovation, through the strategic use of knowledge to support transparency, measurement, and the generation of public value.
