DESCRIPTION:On 18 and 19 September 2026\, the island of Lampedusa will hos
 t the scientific meeting "Marine Strategy: Contributions and Perspectives 
 for the Ionian Sea–Central Mediterranean Sub-region\," promoted and orga
 nized by ARPA Sicilia in collaboration with ARPA Basilicata and ARPA Campa
 nia. The event represents a strategic opportunity to discuss the methods a
 nd activities of the 2021–2026 cycle.   The event will focus on several 
 scientific themes aimed at addressing operational challenges that have eme
 rged in recent years.   The morning of September 18 will open with a prese
 ntation by ISPRA regarding the new Marine Strategy monitoring programs. Th
 is will be followed by an analysis of the critical issues identified conce
 rning *Posidonia oceanica* habitats (Descriptor 1)\, featuring contributio
 ns from experts from ISPRA and the ARPA agencies of Sicily and Basilicata.
