DESCRIPTION:As part of the INTERREG NEXTMED MEDJICARP project\, the Univer
 sity of Palermo (Department of Engineering) and ISPRA are organizing the S
 pring School on Multi-Technology Marine Monitoring\, which will be held in
  Palermo from 6 to 8 April 2027.   The Spring School offers an interdiscip
 linary training programme aimed at university students\, PhD candidates\, 
 and early-career researchers\, focusing on integrated observation systems 
 for the marine and coastal environment.   Over the three-day training prog
 ramme\, participants will explore advanced marine monitoring technologies\
 , with a specific focus on High-Frequency (HF) radar\, FerryBox systems\, 
 and quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) procedures for oceanogra
 phic data. The programme will also examine key operational applications\, 
 including oil spill response\, search and rescue operations\, water qualit
 y monitoring\, and the management of Marine Protected Areas.
