Observe and report the flora and fauna around you even on holiday!

Participate in the "Biodiversity in Pose" initiative of the ISPRA National Biodiversity Network, dedicated to collecting and sharing observations of fauna, flora, and the natural environment made by citizens.

"Biodiversity in Posa" offers anyone interested the opportunity, through its connection to the iNaturalist app, to share reports of nature images taken by both professionals and amateurs with the Network at any time, thus providing a data entry channel.

The data collected will be added to the Network's database, and each observation will help scientists gather data on the health of biodiversity.

Images shared by participants may be published in NNB communications activities, with the author's credit.

How to participate
You need to download the iNaturalist app and register via smartphone or through the website www.iNaturalist.org.
Once in the app—or on the website—just search for "Biodiversity in Pose" in the Projects section. From there, you can take action, photographing the biodiversity you encounter every time you go outdoors and connect with nature, for example, at the seaside or in the mountains.

iNaturalist
Recognizes terrestrial and marine plants and animals through images, short videos, and sounds: this is the goal of iNaturalist, an application that could also be described as the leading social network for nature observation, a meeting point for naturalists, scientists, citizens, and biologists who collaborate in mapping and sharing biodiversity observations around the world. To join this community, simply register and upload the images or sounds you encounter during your outdoor activities, including the exact geolocation of where you were when the photo was taken. Once the observation is validated by an expert, it will be made available to scientists interested in the photographed species or the biodiversity of the area from which it was taken.
