DESCRIPTION:A week of training\, research and field activities for student
 s\, researchers and technical professionals. At the heart of the programme
  is the study and protection of marine and coastal environments.     The  
 7th Summer School on Marine and Coastal Geology\, Ecology and Biology in I
 sland Environments    began on September 7 on Salina. The initiative is de
 dicated to advanced training and scientific professional development for M
 aster's students\, PhD candidates\, researchers and technical professional
 s.     Now in its seventh edition\, the Summer School aims to bring togeth
 er different areas of expertise and disciplines to deepen knowledge of mar
 ine and coastal environments. These are particularly sensitive systems whe
 re geological processes\, marine dynamics\, biodiversity\, human activitie
 s and climate change interact.
