At the first session on March 26, 2026, ISPRA’s contribution focuses on the integration of tourism statistics and environmental indicators, offering a multidimensional interpretation of tourism in rural contexts. The presentation highlights the role of environmental indicators in capturing impacts, pressures, and opportunities related to tourism, helping to guide development strategies that are more resilient and aligned with European sustainable transition goals.

The webinar is part of a broader initiative involving institutions, research bodies, and sector operators, with the aim of promoting a modern data culture and improving the ability to translate available information into operational tools for territorial governance.

The webinar features Giovanni Finocchiaro, Head of the Environmental Statistics Section – Service for Information, Statistics, and Reporting on the State of the Environment at ISPRA.
