The new issue of RETICULA, ISPRA’s technical-scientific journal, is now online
The issue 41 of RETICULA, the technical-scientific journal published by ISPRA and dedicated to ecological connectivity and green infrastructure in land-use and landscape planning, is now available online.
The editorial of the new issue focuses on Mediterranean wetlands, essential ecosystems for biodiversity and climate regulation, highlighting their strategic role as Nature-based Solutions.
Among the scientific articles, one is dedicated to the LIFE Bear-Smart Corridors project and the results achieved over ten years of activity (2015–2025) in the ecological corridors connecting the main habitats of the Marsican brown bear in the central Apennines.
Another article focuses on the monitoring and ecological role of hoverflies, presenting a study that analyzes the composition and structure of Syrphidae (Diptera) communities within the Parco Nazionale dell’Appennino Lucano Val d’Agri-Lagonegrese.
The journal continues with a scientific article dedicated to the Biodiversa+ ProPartS project, which studies the genetic diversity of Chara canescens — a rare algae species found in brackish waters — and highlights the importance of monitoring aquatic vegetation and involving stakeholders in the ecological management of these sites.
A short communication is devoted to the study of the Bombina pachypus in the province of Rieti, while another presents an experience in biodiversity-oriented planning aimed at revitalizing inland areas in the province of Verbano-Cusio-Ossola.
Finally, the News section includes numerous updates and events related to biodiversity scheduled at both national and international levels, reported by the journal’s readers and Editorial Committee.
