RETURN ANNHYDRO
Building an open-access data base of historical hydrometeorological information for Italy, with validation and systematisation
The ANNHYDRO project, led by ISPRA and involving the Universities of Calabria, Basilicata, Brescia, and the Polytechnic University of Bari as partners, is divided into seven work packages. The project aims to recover, collect and organize into a national database the historical hydro-meteorological information published in the Hydrological Yearbooks of the former National Hydrographic Service. The data is organized per hydrographic compartment. Moreover, a project’s objective is to create a free and accessible access point to this database through the national platform HIS Central. This platform provides, through a brokerage system, updated data from local and national federated systems that produce the hydro-meteorological information. Metadata is associated with all the information present in HIS Central. The platform also allows for querying, accessing and displaying data in a tabular or graphical form, and makes available the results of statistical processing on historical hydro-meteorological time series and hydro-climatic indicators at river basin district and national scales
