Educate, Communicate, Connect – The educational format of the LIFE SIC2SIC project
ISPRA has published “Educate, Communicate, Connect – The educational format of the LIFE SIC2SIC project,” which retraces an environmental education experience carried out in 48 schools involving more than 4,200 students.
The publication describes the application of the Caviardage® method—a poetic writing practice based on creative erasure—within the LIFE SIC2SIC project, to translate scientific knowledge about the Natura 2000 Network into an emotional and participatory experience.
The analysis of more than 1,200 works produced by young students conveys the vulnerability of our natural heritage through “landscapes of the soul,” demonstrating the effectiveness of an art-mediated approach and learning by cycling in fostering awareness of biodiversity and active citizenship.
An innovative and replicable model that contributes to the objectives of the European National Biodiversity Strategy for 2030.
