In the framework of the international climate negotiations under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), transparency arrangements play an essential role. Information gathered are critical to driving the increased action required to meet the goal of limiting global warming to well below 2 degrees, pursuing efforts to 1.5, as well as to build confidence in the system and mutual trust among nations.

Edition 2021 The environmental damage represents an issue in which the SNPA network, operators, local authorities and all public and private stakeholders face the challenge of a matter and procedures constantly evolving.

The 2021 edition of the Report, the third dedicated to this topic, provides the updated overview on landslide and flood hazard, coastal erosion in Italy and presents the risk indicators related to population, families, buildings, industries and services, and cultural heritage.

Environmental Data Yearbook 2020

The 16th report "Gli Indicatori del Clima in Italia" describes the Italian climate in the year 2020 and updates the estimate of climate variations in the last few decades. It is based on climate data, indices and indicators derived from the "National System for the collection, processing and dissemination of climate data" ( SCIA ), developed  by ISPRA in collaboration with national and regional meteorological monitoring networks.

The Costa Concordia accident was undoubtedly an important test for the Italy's ability to respond to a complex technical-engineering problem.

For the second consecutive year, ISPRA reports on the ways in which it contributes to sustainability, describing the direct impacts that the Institute creates in environmental, economic and social terms but above all highlighting how it supports other public institutions that affect the activities of companies and quality. of citizens' life.

This booklet describes the methodological protocol to be used in the preparation of elutriates for the execution of bioassays on coastal marine sediments to be managed. The main aim is to minimize possible interference related to the techniques and methodologies used in the various public and private laboratories, as well as the need to comply with adequate chemical-physical conditions of the matrix to be tested that are closer to the field of application, in particular for those chronic/long term bioassays referred as "third type" in the Technical Annex of the Environment Ministry Decree 173/2016. 

Animal pollinators, in particular bees, are of great importance in supporting structure, composition and functioning of natural and semi-natural habitats, including farmlands and peri-urban contexts. Almost 90% of the wild plants that bloom and over 75% of the main existing agricultural crops require animal pollination in terms of production, yield and product quality. Managed as well as solitary bees thus guarantee fundamental support for human society and activities.

The purpose of this booklet is to survey the Institute's past and current activities related to the Environment and Health (E&H) report. The document briefly describes the main environmental health determinants and their possible impacts on the wellbeing and health of the population, with the dual aim of conveying the Institute's commitment to these aspects, and creating a network of experts active on the E&H theme, thus encouraging the creation of new research and activity ideas.
