The environmental challenge for sustainable finance

Methodologies, information and environmental indicators

The disclosure obligations introduced by the regulation on sustainable finance are so substantial and complex, to the point of implying the need for an adequate technical support framework in the implementation phase of regulation, which attends to help companies and investors to understand well the contents and the methods that must be used to generate the environmental information required by the new standards. The intent of ISPRA’s technical document "The Environmental Challenge for Sustainable Finance: methodologies, information and environmental indicators" is to make available an operational tool which aims to provide methodological support and guidance for the reporting of environmental sustainability, in compliance with the new European standards.

The Technical Document was developed to facilitate the self-assessment process of stakeholders, but in such a way that this is anchored to a methodological uniformity, scientifically validated, capable of guaranteeing greater reliability and comparability of the data.
