Launched the project Natural Intelligence for Robotic Monitoring of Habitats (NI)

The Natural Intelligence H2020 project aims to serve the European Green Deal with robots able to accomplish monitoring of natural habitats. As part of the NI Project, ISPRA will cooperate to define the case studies and calibrating the functional requirements of the robots (sensors).

In addition, ISPRA will follow the evolution of the environmental monitoring functions to assess which technologies have reached a satisfactory level for their inclusion in the guidelines for the monitoring of habitats of community interest, which the first version  was published in 2016 (ISPRA MLG 142/2016 series).

The project benefits from funding from the European Horizon 2020 research and innovation program, the overall budget is € 3,053,428.75, the deadline is March 2024.

The partenship includes University of Pisa (coordinatoor), ISPRA, European research center ( Svizzera Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule Zürich – ETH‐Z, Spagna Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas, CSIC, Regno Unito Imperial College London e Kingston University, Olanda Technische Universiteit Delft) and also another private italian partner, Qbrobotics s.rl.
