ISPRA partecipates to the test simulation of a nuclear accident in Krško plant

On 26 and 27 November U.S. ISPRA has participated in the test  of nuclear emergency that Slovenia conducted by simulating an accident at the Krško nuclear power plant.

The central Krško is one of the nuclear plants, used as point of reference by Italian National Plan for protective measures against radiological emergencies which aims to protect population, above all the regions (central and northern Italy) more exposed to accident risk.

The participation of the Institute to the test organized by the Slovenian government is part of the activities of nuclear safety  bilateral agreement in place between ISPRA as a national regulatory authority responsible, and SNSA, Slovenian Nuclear Safety Administration.
