Parties conferences of the Basel, Rotterdam and Stockholm Conventions
The Parties conferences of the Basel, Rotterdam and Stockholm Conventions (BRS COP) will be held in Geneva from 28 April to 9 May. These are the three major multilateral environmental agreements that have as their common goal the protection of human health and the environment from hazardous chemicals and waste.

The Conferences of the Parties are the governing bodies of the three Conventions and are composed of the governments of the countries that have ratified or acceded to them. The Conferences are governed by their respective rules of procedure and are held, unless otherwise decided, every two years. Since 2015, the COP meetings of the Basel, Rotterdam and Stockholm Conventions have been held consecutively and include joint sessions on common issues. The aim of holding the meetings in a coordinated manner is to strengthen the implementation of the three Conventions, promote coherent policy guidance and improve efficiency in providing support to the Parties.
The topic chosen for the 2025 meetings of the COPs of the three Conventions is "Make visible the invisible: sound management of chemicals and wastes".
Three ISPRA experts will participate in the work of the BRS COP as members of the Italian delegation.
