One deer two islands : second release of deers in Corse

On 15 March 2016, under the LIFE + "One deer two islands" project, it was completed successfully the second release in Corse of deers originating from Sardinia. Five animals were released in the Natura 2000 site of the Massif du Rotondu, in the municipality of San Petru to Venacu. The main objective of this operation is to increase the genetic variability of deers in Corse. The operation was carried out by the staff of the Parc Naturel Régional de Corse, Ente Foresta of Sardinia, Medio Campidano Province, ISPRA, the Office National des Forêts and the pilots of the Star Work Sky.
