Rome, Volcanoes and Mammoths: The Transformations of the Ancient Appian Way
The Ancient Appian Way, one of the world’s most fascinating archaeological parks and, since a year ago, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, will be at the heart of a guided trek led by researchers from ISPRA (the Italian Institute for Environmental Protection and Research). The transformation of the landscape will be explored through the lenses of zoology, geology and urban planning, highlighting the many different perspectives through which the history of the Regina Viarum can be interpreted.
