The production of electric power from renewable energy plants in Italy

Energy is essential to daily life and it’s our duty , in a context of strong economic dependence on fossil fuels, addressing the major energy challenges posed by climate change, by reducing air pollution , the increasing dependence on imports , the pressure exerted on energy resources and the supply to all consumers secure energy at affordable prices. The implementation of an ambitious European policy on energy , covering all sources of energy , whether fossil fuels (oil , gas, coal), nuclear or renewables (solar, wind, biomass, geothermal, hydro) aims to give start of a new industrial revolution that will transform the EU into a low energy safer, more competitive and more sustainable.
Renewable energy sources  - wind, solar (thermal and photovoltaic), hydro , geothermal and biomass - are an essential alternative to fossil fuels. Their use allows not only to reduce emissions of greenhouse gases from the production and consumption of energy, but also the EU's dependence on imported fossil fuels (in particular oil and gas).

In this report we describe , for each type of source, on the one hand the evolutionary trend of renewable park from 2000 to 2012 and on the other hand the current picture of the number of plants powered by renewable sources present all over the territory, both nationally and regional, gross installed power efficient and its production.
