Joint Transnational Call 2026 pre-announcement " Sustainable Water Management"
The upcoming launch of the Joint Transnational Call 2026 on "Sustainable Water Management" has been officially pre-announced by the European partnership Water4All.
This initiative, which involves funding organisations from 30 European and international countries, will be officially launched on September 8, 2026. The call aims to support research and innovation projects dedicated to securing long-term water security, aligning with the strategic objectives of the Water4All Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (SRIA), the European Green Deal, and the Water Framework Directive.
Call Topics
The focus of the 2026 call is centered on "Sustainable Water Management", explicitly excluding topics related to extreme events and circularity. The call invites proposals addressing critical challenges in Integrated Water Resource Management (IWRM), focusing on one of the following themes:
- Integrated monitoring and assessment for sustainable water resources management.
- Nature-based solutions for resilient management at the hydrological and hydrogeological system levels.
- Smart, secure, and adaptive water infrastructures.
- Resilient water systems through systemic change, policy coherence, and inclusive governance.
International Information Webinar
An information webinar in English will be held on September 17, 2026 (from 14:00 to 16:00 CEST). Aimed at the international scientific community, the session will outline the technical features of the call and answer questions from potential applicants.
